Saturday and Sunday, August 4 and 5, 2018 – 12:00 to 5:00pm
During this introductory workshop participants will become acquainted with the relief printmaking process through making a linocut. Artists will create a design, transfer the design to a piece of linoleum, carve, and print a small edition of linocuts. This workshop will focus on proper tool usage and maintenance, inking strategies and procedures, and “at home printing.” By the end of this workshop, all participants will have a basic understanding of linocut and how to print in a professional print shop and at home. Most supplies will be provided.
